The Lakota East Boys Golf team recently completed an outstanding 2026 campaign with an 11th-place finish at the OHSAA Division I State Championships, held October 12-13 at NCR Country Club.

It was East's first team appearance at the state tournament in four years, marking a significant accomplishment for Head Coach Joe Robertson and his Thunderhawks.

Senior standout Brody Hayes led the East effort, finishing 10th individually after opening the state championship with an impressive round of 70.

Hayes, a Wright State University signee, followed with a second-round 78 to complete his final high school tournament.

The state appearance capped an impressive season of team accomplishments and individual development for the Thunderhawks.

Congratulations to Coach Robertson, Hayes and the entire East Boys Golf program on returning to Ohio's biggest high school golf stage!
