The Boys basketball team returns all but two players from last year’s team. Lead by a bevy of upperclassmen, this team is aiming to win the program’s 5th GMC Championship and make a deep run in the OHSAA tournament. In addition to competing in one of the top conferences in Ohio, Lakota East will face some of the best non-conference teams in the state as well as tough competition in a holiday tournament in Miami, Fl. The Thunderhawks open up play at Mason High School in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic vs. Massillon Jackson on Friday November 26th.

HAWKS FALL TO WEST IN SECTIONAL Lakota East Boys Basketball couldn't overcome a 20-2 run by West in the Friday night Sectional final, falling 73-59 and ending their season. In the first two minutes of the game, East jumped out to a 6-0 advantage, they
East Boys Basketball ended their regular season on Friday night with a 58-47 win over Hamilton at home. The contest was a battle, but East prevailed to finish the GMC in third place, one game behind the GMC leaders Fairfield and Sycamore. Leaders for
Lakota East Boys held off Mason on Tuesday, earning a 69-60 road win. The Comets held a 2-point lead at the half, but the Hawks came roaring back in the third quarter outscoring Mason 24-11 and then holding on for their 12 GMC win of the season
