Season Outlook

Our program is ready to get the season started. With the return of 7 athletes between the varsity and JV teams, we added on two freshman for the 2021 golf season. With the return of the powerhouse sisters, Ellie (senior) and Clare (sophomore) Yeazell, there will be a lot of good golf to be seen this season. We have returning juniors Andie Madding, Skylar McKay that had very solid summers as they played in different tournaments in the city. Our other junior, Abby Theobald is returning again this season after coming off a nasty winter sports injury, so she is ready to get back at it. Also returning is sophomore Lexi Park and senior Ashley Mullen who have both worked hard this summer to continue to improve the game and have bright seasons ahead of them. We also have to promising freshman adding to the team this year, Meredith Gailey and Ashley Butts. They have determination and drive that is hard to come by. Their high school golf careers look extremely promising and we are excited to welcome them to the team.

The two teams have a great schedule ahead of them as they compete in a multitude of invitationals with our competitors. The girls are eager for the GMC tournament as they are hungry to show the conference what Lakota East Girls Golf is all about. We are also working hard to be prepared for Sectionals as the girls are ready to conquer Districts and get back to State as in years past.
