The 2022 East softball team is poised to improve on their 9-9 season last year. With one returning senior ( Bri Lawson) the team could be set for to improve on last season. Juniors Leilah Ferrari and Ella Bauman also return and new junior additions Kait Haiber and Tess Koziel will be the backbones of the team for this season and next. With the amount of underclassmen that will make up the roster the future looks bright.

East Softball had a "run-rule" weekend. They defeated Sycamore 20-3 on Friday and then shut out Sycamore 14-0 on Saturday. No details of the games were provided.
Next up for East Softball (12-6, 8-2) is an away game at Mason TODAY, Monday, 4/22.
East SB defeated West at home in extra innings by a score of 6-5. Kaleigh Crawford got the win from the mound. The east offense produced 10 hits in the game.
Wednesday's game at home vs Hamilton was postponed.
Next up, East (7-5, 3-1) will visit Oak Hills on Friday.
East split a pair of games the past two days. On Monday they defeated district nemesis Lakota West by a score of 9-4. Kaleigh Crawford earned the win for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (two earned)
This week's CAPORAL, Lakota East Team of the Week, is the Thunderhawk Varsity Softball Team. The Thunderhawk softballers are on the field and taking on the area's best teams. The Hawks are currently 9-6 overall and 5-2 in the "always tough" GMC.
