GIRLS' SOCCERÂ TIES WITH OAK HILLS
The Thunderhawks traveled down to Oak Hills to take on the Highlanders. Oak Hills was fresh off a dominant win over #1 state ranked and defending state champs, Seton Saints.
JV started off the night versus Oak Hills JV A and scrapped out a 2-2 tie.
The varsity squad put together a solid team effort and played 80 minutes of scrappy play. Oak Hills earned a PK and momentum appeared to be shifting in their favor.
Junior Hawk goalkeeper, Sophia Ford came up with an incredible save on the PK to tamp down the Highlander expectations.
At the final whistle the Hawks came away with a well earned 0-0 tie against the State Ranked Highlanders to stay atop the GMC standings.
Next up, East girls host West on Tuesday, 9/12.
