BOYS CROSS COUNTRY NOTCH SOLID EFFORTS AT LOVELAND
The Lakota East Cross Country team competed at Home of the Brave Park on Saturday at the Loveland Invitational. The boys' team had some stellar performances across the board. Sophomore Reilly Meyer led the way for the Hawks running a strong race and finishing 3rd. Juniors Evan Aponte and Blake Gibbs finished 19th and 21st respectively, each competing every step of the way. Sophomore Eli Grissom showed out and knocked 30 seconds off his previous PR. Junior Evan Waterson knocked it out of the park and dropped 55 seconds off of his previous PR. The team placed 4th of 14 teams.
A notable call out from the Boys Open Race is freshman Will Tischer who dropped 3 minutes from his previous PR, even though the race was the hottest one of the day!
East CC is back in action on Saturday at the annual Mason Invitational at Corwin Nixon Park.
