GIRLS GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON CONTINUES!
What a postseason it has already been for Lakota East Girls Golf!
After capturing the 2026 Greater Miami Conference Championship, the Thunderhawks followed it with another terrific performance at the OHSAA Sectional Championship, shooting a 316 to finish second overall and advance to the OHSAA District Championship!
Junior standout Jenna Schmidt continued her sensational season by firing a 70 to earn Sectional Medalist honors. Schmidt adds that accomplishment to her GMC individual championship and GMC Player of the Year award.
Sydney Phan was also outstanding, shooting a 75 to finish fourth overall and help send East into the next round.
The Hawks have put together a memorable championship run — GMC Champions and now District qualifiers!
The goal now is simple: keep it going!
District Championships are Tuesday, Oct. 6th....STATE BERTHS ON THE LINE!
