EAST FOOTBALL ROLLS PAST HAMILTON, 37-13
Lakota East Football continued its strong start to the season Friday night, rolling past Hamilton 37-13 on the road for its third consecutive victory.
The Thunderhawks produced 306 yards of offense, including 192 on the ground, while the East defense limited Hamilton to just 164 total yards and 57 rushing yards.
Carter Jones had a big night, scoring three touchdowns — two rushing and one receiving. AJ Fitzstephens also played a major role, connecting on field goals of 32 and 40 yards while adding four extra points. Bailey Bacher closed the scoring with a 22-yard field goal.
East led 20-13 at halftime before shutting out Hamilton in the second half and scoring 17 unanswered points to put the game away.
The victory improves the Thunderhawks to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the GMC. Next up is a home game matchup against top-ranked Princeton on Friday, 9/25.
