Lakota East Volleyball earned an important four-set victory over Loveland Monday, improving to 9-9 overall and 5-3 in the GMC.

The Hawks had to battle for it.

East grabbed a tight opening set 28-26 before Loveland answered with a 25-15 win in the second. The Thunderhawks responded by taking another close set, 25-23, and then finished the match with a 25-22 fourth-set victory.

It was a strong response by East following its loss to Mason and gives the Hawks momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

NEXT UP: East travels to West Clermont Saturday, Oct. 10, before returning home Oct. 13 to face Colerain on Senior Night.
