The championship season continues for Lakota East Girls Golf!

Fresh off capturing the 2026 Greater Miami Conference Championship, the Thunderhawks delivered another outstanding performance at the OHSAA Sectional Championship, firing a team score of 316 to finish second overall and earn a berth in the OHSAA District Championship!

And once again, Jenna Schmidt was at the top of the leaderboard.

The East junior fired a sensational 70 to capture Sectional Medalist honors, adding another major accomplishment to a season that already includes the GMC individual championship and GMC Player of the Year honors.

Teammate Sydney Phan also came through with a huge postseason performance, shooting a 75 to finish fourth overall and help propel the Thunderhawks into the next round.
