GIRLS BASKETBALL BATTLES MND IN A CLOSE ONE

Lakota East Girls pretty much gave top-ranked and 20-0 Mount Notre Dame, all they wanted last Monday. The Hawks stayed with the powerful Cougars trailing by 6 at the half and then making it close at the end.
Leaders for East: Madison French 14, Sarah Sewak 12.
The Hawks (11-8, 9-5) battle another top foe TONIGHT, when they host the Princeton Vikings.
East Girls earned the #7 seed in the upcoming Sectional. They play a first-round game versus Seton on Wed. 2/9 at a location to be announced.
