CHESS FINISHES 4TH IN GMC

The Lakota East Chess team wrapped up its 2021 season on November 30th at the GMC Chess Tournament. The Hawks finished 6-3 during the regular season and followed that up with a 2-3 record at the tournament to finish the season 8-6 and fourth in the league.
Leading the Hawks and respectively representing boards 1-7 were junior Sean Huggins, freshman Ryan Everding, seniors Colin Rakel and Giancarlo Costanzo, sophomores Daniel Eppley and Prahlad Rimal along with junior Richard McCollum.
Sean Huggins received first team all GMC honors while Ryan Everding, Colin Rakel and Giancarlo Costanzo all received 2nd team honors."
