BROWNE LEADS EAST GIRLS XC AT TROY TWILIGHT

Sophomore Alyssa Browne continued her strong season Saturday night, leading Lakota East Girls Cross Country at the Troy Twilight Invitational.

Browne raced to a ninth-place individual finish in 15:26.5, helping the Thunderhawks finish ninth overall among 26 teams in the shortened 4K race.

Senior Megan Hoffman also delivered an outstanding performance, finishing in 16:44.1 — a time equivalent to approximately a 45-second season-best improvement over 5K. Hoffman ran a smart, tactical race while working alongside her teammates throughout the competition.

Next up for East is the Fairmont Firebird Invite on Saturday, 9/26.
