BROWNE CONTINUES IMPRESSIVE SEASON

Sophomore Alyssa Browne once again led the way for Lakota East at Saturday's Northmont Invitational.

Browne finished ninth overall in 19:27.0, leading the Thunderhawks to a 10th-place team finish among 26 schools.

Browne has been remarkably consistent throughout the fall as the leader of the East pack, and her strong late-race effort at Northmont provided another encouraging sign as championship season approaches.

The Hawks will get one final opportunity to sharpen up this weekend before turning their full attention toward the conference championships.

NEXT UP: East races Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Ed Leas Fall Classic, followed by the GMC Championships Oct. 17.
