BOYS SOCCER SUFFERS FIRST GMC SETBACK

Lakota East Boys Soccer ran into a strong Sycamore squad Thursday night, falling 3-0 on the road.

The loss was the Thunderhawks' first in Greater Miami Conference play this season and moved East to 5-2-3 overall and 3-1-1 in the GMC.

Despite the setback, the Hawks have put together a strong first half of the season and remain in the thick of the conference race as the schedule moves deeper into September.

East will now have a week to regroup before returning to GMC competition.

NEXT UP: East travels to Hamilton Thursday, Sept. 24.
