TURNER LEADS EAST BOYS CROSS COUNTRY AT LEBANON

Lakota East Boys Cross Country continued its early-season development Saturday at the Lebanon Running Warrior Invitational.

Junior Jacob Turner led the Thunderhawks with an excellent fifth-place individual finish, covering the course in 16:45.5.

Turner's performance helped East finish 12th among 32 teams in the large field.

Senior Daniel Gibson also turned in one of the team's standout performances of the morning, running a season-best 18:32.9. Gibson raced patiently and steadily moved through the field throughout the competition.

NEXT UP: East competes Saturday at the Little Miami Invitational.
