SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH AVES AND INDIANS

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks wins against Sycamore on Wednesday,  7-2. The Thunderhawks got things started in the first inning when Ella Bauman tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. East put up three runs in the sixth inning.  Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawk's big bats were led by Jayden Armbruster, Leah Arnett, and Amber Munoz, all driving in runs in the frame.

Kaitlyn Haiber took the win for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. The ace lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out two and walking zero.  Lilly Sepelak threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Davis took the loss for Sycamore. The hurler surrendered zero runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.

Cox started the game for Sycamore. The bulldog surrendered seven runs on ten hits over five and third innings, striking out two. Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks collected 12 hits.  Arnett, Isabella Rodriguez, and Tessa Koziel all managed multiple hits for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks.  Arnett went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks in hits.

On Thursday, East Softball (8-13, 7-7) fell 1101 against Fairfield at home. No other details have been provided yet for this contest.

Next up, East Softball begins the final week of the regular season with an away match on Monday at Hamilton.
