SOFTBALL SPLITS WEEKEND GAMES
Lakota East Softball improved to 4–0 in GMC play with a 4–2 win over Mason, highlighted by a clutch fifth inning. Yorie Schulte delivered the key moment with a three-run triple and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Haley Thompson. Juju Sudnik, Kaleigh Crawford, and Addison Morath also added hits, while Crawford earned her fifth win of the season, allowing four hits and one earned run over seven strong innings.

The Thunderhawks’ eight-game winning streak came to an end Saturday with a 6–3 loss to Talawanda. East collected 10 hits from eight different players but couldn’t overcome an early deficit. Thompson and Kaylor Schultz led the offense with two hits each.
Now 8–3 overall (4–0 GMC), East looks to start a new streak Monday, April 13, on the road at Middletown.
