SOFTBALL SPLITS TWO GAMES

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks easily dispatched Colerain 13-2 on Wednesday.  Colerain got things moving in the first inning.  Colerain scored one run when Natali McGuire singled.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning.  In the third Hailey Thompson doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks notched five runs in the fifth inning.  The offensive firepower by Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks was led by Jayden Armbruster, Halina Schulte, Hailey Hensley, and Thompson, who all drove in runs.

Kaitlyn Haiber earned the win for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. The ace went five innings, allowing two runs on six hits and walking one.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks tallied 15 hits in the game.  Schulte, Thompson, Hensley, and Leah Arnett all had multiple hits for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks.  Hensley, Thompson, and Schulte each collected three hits to lead Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks.

On Thursday, the Hawks fell in a makeup game to Mason by a score of 13-2. No details are available yet.
