STAYS ON TOP OF THE GMC!
Lakota East improved to 10-1 in GMC play with a 6-3 victory over district nemesis Lakota West on Friday, continuing a strong conference run.
The Thunderhawks showcased a balanced offensive attack, collecting hits from seven different players. The top of the lineup set the tone as Maddie Offner, Yorie Schulte, Kaleigh Crawford, and Haley Thompson each recorded two hits to pace the offense.
A key moment came in the third inning when Juju Sudnik delivered a two-out, two-run double to highlight a five-run frame that helped East build control of the game.
In the circle, Kaleigh Crawford remained dominant, earning her 10th win of the season. She allowed just four hits while striking out 12 over a complete-game effort.
Lakota East (15-4, 10-1) returns to action on Monday at Princeton.
