Lakota East continued its impressive season with three decisive wins over Princeton, Mason, and Middletown, powered by dominant pitching and a high-powered offense.
The Thunderhawks opened the stretch by completing a suspended game with an 11-0 win over Princeton on Monday, 4/27. Kaleigh Crawford earned the victory, combining with Karli Damen for five innings of a one-hit shutout softball. The duo struck out nine. Offensively, East totaled 10 hits and five walks, with Juju Sudnik, Haley Thompson, Crawford, and Maddie Offner each collecting two hits.

Lakota East followed with a 9-5 road win at Mason on Friday, 5/1, improving to 12-1 in GMC play. The Thunderhawks pounded out 16 hits and scored in five of seven innings. Crawford led the charge with five hits, while Sudnik and Damen added three hits each. Offner drove in three runs and blasted her fourth home run of the season. Crawford also picked up her 12th win in the circle, tossing a complete game while allowing just one earned run.

On Senior Night, May 4th, East rolled to a 15-0 win over Middletown. Seniors Haley Thompson, Addie Morath, Molly Pittman, and Sophia Brown were honored and then delivered at the plate, combining to go 9-for-13 with five doubles, six RBIs, and 10 runs scored. Damen earned the win in the circle, teaming with Keira Burmeister for five innings of one-hit shutout softball.
Lakota East now stands at 18-4 overall and 13-1 in GMC play. The Thunderhawks return to action Wednesday, 5/6, with a road matchup at Sycamore. They will then play Harrison at home on Thursday, 5/7.
