Putter's Lakota East Athletes of the Week for 9/2/21
TJ KATHMAN
TJ is a senior on the 2021 East Football Team.
TJ is the Thunderhawk quarterback and is making big contributions to his team early in the 2021 season. At 2-games into the fall schedule, TJ has 235 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. In addition, he has rushed for 231 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on the ground. His outstanding play and leadership will be needed all season. TJ was a 1st team All-GMC performer in 2020.
KELSEY RETZSCH
Kelsey is a junior on the 2021 East Girls Tennis Team
Kelsey is a returning varsity tennis player for her junior year at Lakota East. She plays 2nd and 3rd singles for our team. Kelsey currently has an 8-0 overall record and a 3-0 GMC record. Kelsey did a great job in the off-season working on both her physical and mental game and it has paid off during our season. Kelsey has a great spirit and helps keep her teammates on a positive trajectory. She puts in the work on and off the court recently volunteering for The Judy Buckenmyer Memorial Food Drive. Be sure to follow her for the remainder of her 2021 season as well as her future seasons here at East.
