Little Miami Invitational Results - Girls Cross Country

The Lakota East Cross Country team didn’t let race delays or sharp course turns hinder them from performing well at the Little Miami Invitational this Saturday morning.

Despite a delayed start time, the varsity girls banded together and placed first as a team. The Little Miami course saw a 2nd place finish from senior Molly Deardorff, a 4th place finish from senior Ava Dickenson, and an 8th place finish from freshman Alyssa Browne. Senior Elise Brown ran a new season best time, cutting off over 30 seconds from her previous mark. Freshmen Dorothy Specht and Ava Kidd worked together to both set personal records and finish three places apart.

The girls open race witnessed stupendous effort and individual improvements. Sophomore Isabel Grissom led the Hawks with a new personal best time. Additionally, sophomores Lucy Ostermyer, Rachel Turner, and Gabby Reed-Webster all set personal records.

Next week, the team looks forward to running at Troy High School for the Troy Twilight Invitational on Saturday night.
