What a start for Lakota East Girls Golf!

The Lady Hawks added another championship to their early-season résumé by winning the Lakota East Invitational at Twin Run on August 18, firing a team score of 324.

The victory continued an outstanding opening stretch for East, which has already captured tournament championships at the Lady Explorer Invitational, Sycamore Invitational, Anderson Invitational and Lakota East Invitational.

Junior captain and No. 1 player Jenna Schmidt has been a major part of that success, earning medalist honors twice and an individual runner-up finish during East's early tournament run.

NEXT UP: East returns to action Monday, August 24, before competing against Eaton/Fenwick Wednesday and at the Springboro Invitational Thursday
