HAYES SHINES AT NEW ALBANY INVITATIONAL

Lakota East Boys Golf continued its challenging tournament schedule with a strong showing Tuesday at the New Albany Invitational.

The Thunderhawks finished 7th out of 15 teams, while senior standout Brody Hayes turned in another outstanding individual performance. Hayes fired an even-par 72, earning an impressive second-place finish against a talented tournament field.

The performance continued an excellent season for Hayes, who has consistently been among East's top performers throughout the fall.

Earlier, on Aug. 31, the Thunderhawks competed at the NCR Invitational, finishing 14th out of 16 teams.

East now enters an important stretch with two more weekend tournaments before turning its attention to the Greater Miami Conference Championships.

NEXT UP: East competes Saturday at the Dublin Jerome Invitational and Sunday at the Hadley Invitational, followed by the two-day GMC Championships Sept. 15-16 at Glenview Golf Course.
