GIRLS SOCCER BATTLES BACK FOR GMC DRAW

Lakota East Girls Soccer showed plenty of fight Tuesday night, twice rallying from deficits to earn a 2-2 draw against Oak Hills.

The Hawks trailed 1-0 and later 2-1, but refused to go away.

Bailey Bacher and Lexi Stelzer provided the East goals, marking the second consecutive match in which both players found the back of the net.

The result keeps East unbeaten in conference competition at 2-0-1, while the Hawks move to 4-2-2 overall.

East has now earned seven of a possible nine points through its opening three GMC matches.

NEXT UP: The Hawks return to action Thursday, Sept. 17, when they host Sycamore.
