East finished 3rd with a team score of 320. Finishing 2nd with a team score of 316 went to Ursuline and 1st place with a team score of 294 went to Dublin Jerome.

East's own Clare Yeazell (sophomore) was the Individual Medalist with a score of 69!

To round out the team we then had senior, Ellie Yeazell, with a 77, Lexi Park, sophomore, with a 83, Skyar McKay, junior, 91, and then Andie Madding, junior, 98.

The girls are looking forward to their competitive schedule ahead and hope to continue to place.

The East Girls Golf Team attended Sycamore's Invitational at Walden Ponds on Tuesday, August 10th. The girls battled the elements with a rain delay but stayed focused and determined placing 5th out of 19 teams.

Lakota East sophomore, Clare Yeazell medaled again here with the 5th overall low score of two under par (70).

East rounded out the team score with senior Ellie Yeazell with a one-over, 73. Followed by sophomore, Lexi Park 88, and juniors Andie Madding 93, and Skylar McKay 96.

The girls continue to prove that hard work and dedication is the best recipe for success.

On Saturday, Aug. 14th the East Girls Varsity Golf Team traveled to Lassing Pointe in Union, Kentucky to compete in the Notre Dame Academy Invitational. The golf course put their golf skills to the test with many difficult holes. The team placed 6th with a score of 350.

East traveled to Yankee Trace for Centerville's Invitational on Monday, Aug. 16th. Here, Andie Madding and Skylar McKay (juniors) shot their lowest tournament rounds to date, rounding out the team score to 330 and placing 9th in the event.

The girls still remain hungry to continue to improve and work hard to get better. They have two matches scheduled for this week, one against St. Ursula at Cincinnati Country Cub on Monday, Aug. 23rd, and the other against Sycamore at Green Crest on Thursday, Aug. 26th.

Wish them luck as they continue their season!
