Girls Golf Advances to District Championships

The Lakota East Girls Golf team delivered an outstanding performance at the Sectional Tournament held at Walden Ponds on Tuesday, September 23rd. The Hawks posted an impressive team score of 337, earning them the title of 2025 Sectional Runner-Up and securing a spot at the upcoming District Championships.

Individual Highlights:

  • Jenna Schmidt led the way with a stellar 76, earning Individual Runner-Up honors.

  • Sydney Phan followed closely with an 80, placing 7th overall.

This strong showing advances the entire team to the District Championships, scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th at Pipestone Golf Course. At Districts, the top three teams, along with the top three individuals not on a qualifying team, will move on to the State Championships, to be held at The Ohio State University on October 13–14.
