GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY FIRST AT MURRAY INVITE!
The Lakota East Girls Cross Country team showed up ready to compete at Champions XC Course on Saturday at the Jim Murray Invitational. The team placed 1st out of 24 teams which can be attributed to the whole team working hard this season. Our girl's team had an incredible day with nearly everyone running season best or personal best times.
Sophomore Molly Deardorff ran her strongest race to date, finishing 2nd place in 18:41 which puts her as the 11th fastest girl in Lakota East history. Sophomore Ava Dickenson and Junior Elise Brown both got off the line fast and ran tough finishing in 19:22 and 19:58 respectively.
Seniors Brooke Wilson and Meredith Brown found their groove and ran their best races this season, rounding out our scoring 5 with a 20:44 and a 21:00 respectively.
The girls are back in action on Saturday 10/14 at VOA for the GMC Meet.
