GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY 8th AT THE EAST INVITE
The Lakota East Varsity Cross Country teams improved on their performances this week at the Lakota East Fall Classic at Voice of America Park, despite running in wet, sloppy conditions.
On the women’s side, junior Jocey Willis led the way for the Hawks placing 4th overall in 20:41. There were 110 athletes in the field. Senior captain, Sarah Renfro, was once again the #2 girl for East, placing 22nd overall in 22:01. Senior teammate, Dani Thorner, came across the line next in 27th place with a time of 22:14. Sophomore Brooke Wilson was the 4th Hawk across the line in 23:07, for 51st place. Newcomer Meredith Brown, sophomore, was the final scorer for the Hawks, placing 63rd overall in 23:23.
Next up for Lakota East Cross Country is the Lebanon Running Warrior Invitational at Lebanon High School on Saturday, September 4th.
