GIRLS CC 8TH AT LEBANON INVITE

The Thunderhawk women raced without their #1 runner (Jocey Willis) finishing due to illness, but they still ran a strong race and placed a very respectable 8th place out of 19 teams at Saturdays, Lebanon Warrior.  

Freshman, Ava Dickenson, led the way for East running a near personal best time of 20:45 on a humid day that was not producing very fast times.  Ava placed 16th out of 254 runners.  Sophomore, Emme Nguyen, also ran a near personal best time of 22:13 to place 43rd overall.  Junior, Meredith Brown, was the #3 Hawk placing 47th overall in 22:24.   

Seniors Hope Keith and Ella Huelskamp round out the top 5 scorers for East placing 64th and 73rd overall.  Keith’s time was 22:49 and Huelskamp’s was 23:13.   

Next up for Lakota East cross country will be the Loveland Twilight Invitational on Friday night, September 9th at Loveland High School.
