Lakota East cruised to a dominant 55–12 win over Middletown on Wednesday, controlling the game from start to finish with balanced scoring and relentless defense. The Thunderhawks forced turnovers, won the rebounding battle, and never let Middletown find a rhythm offensively.
Bella Sturgill led the way with a monster performance, pouring in 17 points while grabbing 12 rebounds to anchor the paint. Bailey Bacher stuffed the stat sheet with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, setting the tone on both ends of the floor, while Payton Buker added 7 points and a game-high 4 steals to fuel Lakota East’s pressure defense. With contributions up and down the lineup, Lakota East turned in a complete team effort to secure the victory.
