HAWKS SET NEW DEFENSIVE EFFORT

The Hawks soared past the Cardinals 57-11 last Friday night, breaking the school record for fewest points allowed in a game. Brooke Asher led the team with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals on the night. Senior Celina Blount followed with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Emma Fohl finished with 8 points, 6 steals, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

The Hawks had 19 team steals and 7 team blocks in their victory. The Hawks travel to Winton Woods on Monday night for another battle.  

Next up, East heads into the final week of the regular season, 1 game behind Mason and Princeton for the GMC title. The Hawks (13-6, 12-2) will host Hamilton for senior night on Wed. 2/7. They will battle at Mason on Saturday, 2/10 for a possible GMC title.

East drew the #10 seed for the upcoming Sectional Tourney. They have a first-round bye that will open up on Thursday, 2/22 at Middletown, 5:30 pm vs. either Withrow or Talawanda.
