Lakota East struggled to find rhythm in their home opener on 11/25, falling to Springboro 56–33. The Panthers’ defensive pressure and consistent scoring created separation early, and the Hawks were unable to close the gap down the stretch. Bailey Bacher led the Hawks with a balanced all-around effort: 8 points, 8 assists, plus 1 steal, 1 block, and 1 rebound. Her playmaking was a key bright spot throughout the night. Bella Sturgill chipped in 6 points, adding 2 rebounds and 2 blocks, giving East some much-needed interior presence. Audrey Kasselman also contributed 6 points, helping fuel East offensively.
Despite the loss, the team showed flashes of strong ball movement and defensive capability, especially from their core contributors.
Lakota East will look to bounce back this week at the Hawks Nest when they take on MND on Thursday, 12/4.
