FOOTBALL SHUTS OUT SYCAMORE

HAWKS PREPARE FOR CROSSTOWN SHOWDOWN!

East Football put on a offensive and defensive showcase last Friday. The Hawks used a balance attack and defensive blockade to shutout Sycamore 38-0. The offense produced 320 yards rushing on the night. QB Nile Knutson was 10/13 passing for 169 yards and two TD's. Senior Ryder Hooks rushed for 81 yards and ran back an interception for 55 yards. Jayden Boyd also intercepted a pass for a 85-yard TD return.

When the offense wasn't on the field, the East defense was tough holding the Aves to just 54 yards passing and 106 rushing yards.

The win extended Lakota East's home winning streak to seven games and dropped Sycamore's record to 0-8 at the time. 

The Hawks (6-3, 5-3) prepare for their annual Cross Town Showdown this Friday when the host Lakota West (6-3, 6-2). The Firebirds collected a 38-6 win over Oak Hills last week.

A big crowd is expected in the Hawks Nest...arrive early!
