El Caporal Team of the Week is the Boys Lacrosse Team
El Caporal, a staple of the Lakota and Mason communities known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality, is excited to announce the Team of the Week initiative, designed to celebrate outstanding local athletic teams for their achievements and contributions to the community.
El Caporal is proud to recognize the Lakota East Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team as this week’s Team of the Week!
The Thunderhawks have put together a strong 2025 spring season, finishing the regular season with a 12-7 overall record. Highlights of their campaign include key wins over Fairfield and Mariemont, as well as a decisive 14-6 victory over rival Lakota West, avenging an early-season loss.
In the first round of the Regional Tournament last Tuesday, East took care of business with a solid win over Lebanon, earning a spot in the next round against Milford on Friday, May 23.
The team is led by Head Coach Steven Burkhardt, whose leadership has helped guide the Hawks through a competitive season.
