El Caporal, a staple of the Lakota and Mason communities known for its authentic Mexican cuisine and warm hospitality, is excited to announce the Team of the Week initiative, designed to celebrate outstanding local athletic teams for their achievements and contributions to the community.

El Caporal is proud to recognize the Lakota East Varsity Boys Track & Field Team as this week’s Team of the Week!

The Thunderhawks are putting together a strong and consistent campaign during the 2025 spring season. As the regular season winds down, the team is focused on building momentum heading into the postseason.

Before that, the Hawks will showcase their talents at the highly competitive Mason Invitational this Friday, an event that draws some of the top track and field programs from around the region.

Lakota East has already earned notable results this season, including a 2nd place finish at the Edgewood Invitational, as well as strong performances at both the Ross Invitational and their own East Invitational.

The team is led by Head Coach Rodney Heath, who continues to guide the program with dedication and excellence.
