Nothing like a rivalry win!

Lakota East Volleyball delivered a big one Thursday night, sweeping district rival Lakota West 3-0 on Youth Night.

Senior setter Kennedy Baker and junior opposite Bella Dickerson turned in huge performances for the Thunderhawks. The duo continually found ways to produce points during a tightly contested match and helped East break through late in both the second and third sets.

The victory was an important bounce-back performance after East battled Oak Hills through five sets Tuesday before falling 18-25, 26-24, 25-17, 18-25, 15-10.

With Thursday's win, the Hawks improve to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the GMC.

NEXT UP: East hosts Harrison on Tuesday.
