CHESS CONCLUDES SEASON, 3RD IN GMC!
The East Chess team traveled to Sycamore on December 3rd to play in the GMC Second Round. The Hawks finished the day winning 3 of 5 matches, which secured third place in the league. All seven players, Isaac Baumgarte, AJ Cochrum, Logan Kilgore, Shrey Rana, Tyler Hubbard, Murat Bayraktar and Evan Barnett took turns earning points for the East victories.
In addition, the Hawks did not depart without bringing home some hardware. Logan Kilgore earned the , Best Third Board award along with All GMC Second Team Honors while both Isaac Baumgarte and AJ Cochrum earned All GMC First Team Honors. Issac and AJ are the sole departing seniors and will be greatly missed next season!"
