BOYS WRESTLING TAKES DOWN WEST!

Boys Wrestling Defeats Lakota West in an amazing 38-36 dual match win last Friday, 1/23. In an extremely exciting back-and-forth dual meet, the Thunderhawks emerged victorious for the 3rd year in a row. 

A fast start by the first three weight classes got the large East crowd fired up.  Mehki Eady, Cohen Braden, and Mackson Calvin provided the Hawks with a 16-0 head start.  After some mid-weight losses, a pair of juniors put us back on track. Big bonus point wins by Brady Dillon and Ryan Daniels put the team score into a situation where the last match of the night would determine the outcome.  

Going into the heavyweight match, the team score was 32-36 in the Firebird’s favor. Sophomore Cameron Wells came through in a big way with a dominating 0:24-second pin to secure the 38-32 victory!

Next up for East Boys Wrestling is the Milford Invitational on Saturday, January 31.
