East Boys Tennis dominated Middletown 5-0 on Monday, 4/27.

The Hawks had strong play on every court on Tuesday, 4/28, but fell to a talented Mason team 4-1. Ethan and Mercer teamed up together for the first time this year at first doubles and secured our one point for the match.

The Hawks lost a close match to Moeller on Wednesday, 4/29, by a score of 3-2. The match came down to 1st Doubles, which was a back-and-forth contest all afternoon. In the end, Moeller was able to execute and win more of the big points.

Boys Tennis finished off their GMC regular season schedule with a 5-0 win over Princeton on Thursday, 4/30. The Hawks finished 7-2 in the GMC, which earned us 3rd place. Ethan Vass returned to his winning form with a nice 6-2,6-4 win over Lincoln Soots.

East Boys Tennis finished in 3rd place over the weekend at the Coaches Classic behind Loveland (1st) and Mason B (2nd). There, were great matches played all day, and only one point separated 1st from and 2nd and 2nd from 3rd. Lakota East players finished 2nd at all singles spots and 1st in doubles.
Some of the highlights for the day were Mercer Mills opening the day with a 9-8 (8-6) win at 2nd Singles over Ethan Deck from Loveland. The match lasted over 1 ½ hours. Varus Das and Luke Oedekoven also had an impressive 8-3 win over Mason B to secure their 2nd place finish.
Sectional draws for the state tournament were held over the weekend. Ethan Vass (#2 Seed) was the only East player to be seeded.
Next for East Tennis (13-5, 7-2) hosts Loveland on Friday, 5/8.
