BOYS' SOCCER IS UNDERWAY!
The East boys soccer team opened up their season at home against Kings Knights Tuesday evening 8/15 with a 2-2 draw. Kings connected on a penalty kick in the 8th minute of the match to go up 1-0. Lakota East senior, Justin Stidham, was able to equalize the score at 1-1 off of a free kick taken by junior, Shaun Dickerson in the 22nd minute of the match.
At the 29th minute, senior, Ellis Culligan headed in a cross-off of a corner kick by Dickerson, giving the Hawks a 2-1 lead. The score remained that way until the 77th minute when Kings was awarded another penalty kick and equalized the final score 2-2.

The East boy's soccer team was defeated by St. X last Saturday, 8/19 by a final score of 4-0. The Hawks had two early chances to start the game but were unable to finish the play. Junior goalkeeper, Ryan Warm, recorded 10 saves during the match.
The Hawks are off until Tuesday, August 29 when they travel to Loveland. East record is 0-1-1 (0-0-0 GMC).
