Boys Soccer Earns Hard Fought Draw Against Walnut Hills

Lakota East earned a hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road Saturday against Walnut Hills. The Thunderhawks struck first in the 17th minute when sophomore Ty Bikoko delivered a precise pass to fellow sophomore Miles Polacheck, who calmly slotted the ball past the diving keeper to give East the early lead.
Walnut Hills responded in the 36th minute, converting a free kick to level the match. Goalkeeper Nick Maslin was solid between the posts, recording six saves to preserve the draw.
With the result, Lakota East moves to 1-1-1 on the season. The team returns home Tuesday to kick off GMC play against Middletown.
