From Underdogs to Finalists
The Boys Varsity Bowling team showcased incredible grit this past Sunday at the Back-to-School Bash at Rollhouse Lanes. Competing in a massive field of 32 teams, the boys didn't let a slow start define their day. After sitting in 21st place following the first game, they began a steady climb—surging to 15th after the second game and qualifying for match play in the 13th spot.
Once the bracket started, the 'giant-slayers' came to play. After defeating Reading in the opening round, the boys took down a gauntlet of powerhouses: #4 seed Centerville, #5 seed LaSalle, and a stunning sweep of the #1 seed Miamisburg to punch their ticket to the finals. Though they ultimately fell to #3 seed Elder in the championship, their performance was defined by clutch strikes and a 'never-quit' attitude. It was a remarkable day of bowling that proved this team can compete with the best in the state."
East Boys Bowling returns to action TODAY, 1/6, at home vs. Colerain and then at Elder on Wednesday, 1/7.
