BOYS BASKETBALL TAKES TOUGH LOSS FROM HIGHLANDERS

The Hawks took a tough loss at Oak Hills on Tuesday night. The final score was 58-57. After leading by 12 at the half, East saw that lead slip away over the final two frames as the Highlanders were able to close out the game.
Trey Perry's 16 points led East, Bayze Wieland and Ty Smyers added 11.
The Hawks (10-11, 7-8) end the regular season at Sycamore this Friday.
The Hawks drew the #16 seed for the upcoming Sectional. They play a first-round game against Lasalle on Friday, 2/23, 7:30 pm at Fairfield.
