East Boys toughed out a 37-28 win versus visiting Sycamore last Friday. The Hawks led most of the contest, but the Aves didn't go quietly. The score was 15-15 at half in a defensive struggle. A 13-4 scoring advantage in the final quarter was the difference. East outrebounded Sycamore 20-14.
Brady Bowman led East with 15 points. JJ Smith had 7 carooms. Charlie Willis chipped in 10 points.
The Hawks (2-0, 1-0) are back home again on Tuesday versus Oak Hills.
