East let one get away from them last Friday, falling 50-48 in overtime to Fairfield. The Hawks had a double-digit lead that they saw evaporate in the fourth quarter. East led 34-19 heading into a disastrous final 8 minutes.

Brady Bowman led all scorers with 24.

The Hawks rebounded on Saturday with an exhilarating 52-50 overtime win over a very good St. Xavier squad. East scrambled their way into OT and then nailed a final buzzer beater to win.

Bowman and Shaw led the Hawks with 18 and 16 points, respectively.

East produced a strong performance at the MLK Classic on Monday, 1/19. The Hawks took down Middletown 52-36 with head coach Clint Adkins securing his 200th career win. Luke Shaw was the player of the game with 19 points.

Next, East (9-5, 5-4) will visit Colerain this Friday.
