BOYS BASKETBALL FALLS TO WEST
The Thunderhawks suffered a home loss at the hands of their district nemesis last Friday before a standing-room-only crowd. Final score 55-50. The Hawks held a five-point lead at the half but saw that quickly evaporate in the 3rd quarter.
Trey Perry and Tyler Bachman led East with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Ty Smyers added 11.
The Hawks honored seniors Ty Smyers, Tyler Bachman, Luke Adkins, Jacob Stringer, Elijah Perry, Derek Jackson, Bayze Wieland, and Carter Breslin for their huge contributions to the East Boys Basketball program.
East (10-1-, 7-7) plays at Oak Hills on Tuesday, 2/13.
The Hawks drew the #16 seed for the upcoming Sectional. They play a first-round game against Lasalle on Friday, 2/23, 7:30 pm at Fairfield.
