SOFTBALL SMASHES PRINCETON, FALLS TO URSULINE IN TOURNEY GAME

East Softball fell to Ursuline Academy on Monday in the Sectional Tourney.  The final score was 15-10.  No other details were available.

Lilly Sepelak had all the right stuff on Tuesday for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks, allowing zero runs and besting Princeton by a score of 11-0

Halina Schulte collected four hits in four at-bats to help lead Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks to victory.  Schulte singled in the first, tripled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks got things moving in the first inning when Samantha Hermes singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks put up five runs in the second inning.  Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks put the pressure on, led by singles by Leah Arnett, Ella Bauman, and Hailey Hensley and a triple by Schulte.

One bright spot for Princeton was a single by Tulloss in the fourth inning.

Sepelak earned the win for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks. Sepelak allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Brown took the loss for Princeton. Brown allowed five hits and six runs over one inning.

Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks had 11 hits in the game.  Schulte, Bauman, Arnett, and Hensley each collected multiple hits for Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks.  Schulte led Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks with four hits in four at-bats.  Lakota East Varsity Thunderhawks didn't commit a single.       

East Softball concludes its season on Thursday when they travel to Colerain for a GMC make-up game.
