Little Miami Invitational Results - Boys Cross Country

The Lakota East Cross Country team didn’t let race delays or sharp course turns hinder them from performing well at the Little Miami Invitational this Saturday morning.

In the boys varsity race, senior Reilly Meyer led the Hawks and finished in 16th place. Next up, senior Elijah Grissom delivered an impressive season best time, which was only two seconds off of his lifetime record. Senior Kris Varbanov and freshman Ben Karam also both ran commendable personal best times.

During the boys open race, the team pushed each other to success as they ran together in small groups. Notably, freshman Cayce Weisenborn gave a gutsy performance and finished in 24th place in his first ever 5k. Junior Kaleb Rowland, freshman Leo Sabatini, and junior Mutlu Bayrakatar all set new personal record times.

Next week, the team looks forward to running at Troy High School for the Troy Twilight Invitational on Saturday night.
